Sometimes I’ll just listen to the Madness Returns main theme for hours on end. It makes me feel closer to Alice, in a way I know I’ll never be.
I do like Among Us, I just wish it had the same player base as Blood On The Clocktower. Because, sometimes I just want to pop on for a 30 minute session of social deduction, but the people on Among Us are so toxic (comparatively, at least). And when I go to BOTC right after, it’s such a huge sigh of relief. Like I can be comfortably myself again. It feels like a shame.
Apparently, I’m alone in my fascination with finding cool little places around Petersburg for my stories. But it’s so cool. I encourage anyone to try it. Did you know you can walk the streets with Yandex Maps, which will show you links to individual businesses when you pass them? Did you know there’s a Gogol Hotel just a few streets down from where Dostoyevsky lived while he was writing Crime and Punishment, which is just a few streets down from where Raskolnikov lived? Did you know that there’s a cafe called The Stray Dogs, which was frequented by many prominent silver-age artists, and is still open today? Did you know the Mikhailovsky theatre is literally kinda in the same building? Did you know that around this area is a small, unassuming bridge, which also happens to be the bridge Raskolnikov almost drowned himself at? Did you know??? It’s so cool! And no one’s talking about it. I want to talk about it. I want to have a group where we just find cool things about Petersburg and talk about it. It’s so cool.
My whole life, I’ve been trying to gaslight myself into liking rice pudding, and at this rate, I show no signs of stopping. …Or success.

…You know, on second thought, after doing that, those images are awful. Just the most eyebleed thing you could possibly imagine multiplied by the circumference of the sun. Like mash on your closed eyes in a dark room while imagining 2010s anime girls level awful. I definitely much preferred the pretty scenery and ‘Дом, в котором…’ aesthetics that came up with my actual name…
Anyway, this was an… interesting experiment. Thanks for tagging me, it was… fun? :)
